I would like to entertain the idea of having a full Web site for our treasured Super Cubs at supercubclub.com. I would be willing to purchase the domain name and I can host it for free (no ads or anything). Having our own domain name and server space, we can have more than this forum. What do you all think?!? If everyone likes this idea, I can get on it right away.

there was talk of using a redirect before but not to many people minded typing the full url i guess. but it would be cool to get on our own hardware and run the preferred forum engine.

What kind of website exactly are you talking about making? This one already is well organized and has lots of good info.

I agree this is well organized and has good info. I'm thinking of a Web site which could have blogs and other stuff that this forum can't provide. I would naturally want to transfer all of the info here over or at least provide a link to this forum as the Web site's "Forum." There could be articles about modifications and such. I know there are some posts in this forum about such things. However, if there were step by step articles, I think that would be better. I could be all by myself on this idea. Just thought I would throw it out there...

I guess I just don't understand the advantage. It seems as though everyone here is also a member of RCU or RCG or both and another site would just be another place to double post. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it if it's what you want, I just don't see any advantage. I personally find this site very organized and easy to find stuff when needed by category. As Paul suggested you may want to think of a different name for it.

Sounds like this is a bad idea. I just thought I'd throw it out there to see what people think. If anyone thinks this is a good idea, please chime in and let me know. Otherwise I'm dropping the idea.
