Just wanted to drop a quick hello as I just joined this board. Got the Super Cub last year but have only flown it a few times. Dusted it off and ran through a couple of packs last weekend to inaugurate the 2008 flying season and am hoping to do more flying this afternoon.

Welcome.
Get yourself a 3s lipo for longer flight times. Check under batteries for details. I went from about 5 min / stock pack to 20+ mins from a 3 cell 2400mah lipo. Same weight as stock so no center of gravity problems either. But it does run hotter and you have to prop down.

I get about 15 minutes on my 9.6 NiMH so I'm OK with that. I do have a couple of 3s 1800mAH I could use (once I figure out which connector type I want to standardize on), but I don't yet understand how to calculate prop size / current draw. Heck, I don't even know what the Rx-ESC brick can handle now.
