I have decided to go with the 2 vs 1 servo mod for ailerons. Next question is Y-harness or separate hook-ups for each aileron/servo. I will be using the Airtronics RDS8000 (8 channel) Rx/Tx so channels are not the limfac (limiting factor), my inexperience is.
Thanks

Hi there I am new at this so just my two cents worth & I no nothing about your TX but I would say a Y harness. That is the way I have mine works well but I only have a 4 channel TX.

Well the better way tog o is definatley the 2 seperate channels. This will allow you to trim each one seperately. A Y harness is fine but make sure your pushrods are adjustable so you can trim them that way. If you use 2 seperate channels then you need to (not sure how those radios do it) turn on flaperons or mix the 2 channels equally. I know futaba's have a flaperon setting built in but not sure about airtronics.

Yep, the how-to book that came with it shows how to set-up flaperon's. I ordered the harness but I also ordered just straight extensions so I can do either when I get the latest shipment in. I will go read up on flaperons. More reading.....

If I remember correctly someone did a tutorial on youtube for that radio. I could be wrong but I swear I saw one a while back. Might check it out.
