Well I did it!!! Just ordered the t-28. Just wondering if I need to do anything to it to make it better/stronger like taping the wing or anything like that? And I was just wondering if the t-28 has any weak parts like the battery connectors or esc or anything like that?
Thanks

The battery and RX comes stock with Tamiya connectors. I changed mine out to deans to match my other batteries. I never tape any of my wings (just preference). If yours is the RTF version watch out for glitching. The RTF planes have a bad reputaion for glitching. Mine certainly glitched right out of the box. Also try this site, it hasn't caught on as much as this one but it's still in it's infancy... parkzonet28club.6.forumer.com/index.php

I am a Supercub flyer of 2 years now. My T28 came 8 mos ago with the blue e-flite battery/ESC connectors (not Tamiya's) and I love them. I am slowly phasing out the deans on my other 2 planes for the blue ones....they are easier to connect/disconnect grip wise. Definitely tape the leading wing edge and wing tips with clear 2" 3m wraping tape for foam protection. Also the leading edge of your vertical stabilizer and upper tip of the rudder. The props are very durable, but order yourself a replacement cowl and motor mount.....they are fragile and will eventually break. Use the same 3m tape and cover the inside of your cowl to beef it up, including the cowl screw holes...then poke a needle thru the holes to allow for screwing easily when assembling. Glitching is the pitfall of old 72mhz technology. It is unavoidable with the cheap FM RTF radio/rcvr. I got a programable Futaba 6EX 2.4 GHZ for Xmas and use it on my 3 planes. Resold the T28 RTF radio/rcvr on Ebay for $40. The new 2.4ghz technology completely eliminates glitching. The T28 flies alot faster than your Cub. Find a large area with a long straight landing approach. I use a local school with 3 adjoining ball fields and the oval track-team track as a landing strip. Find 2 locations if you can, so you can always land nose into the prevailing wind. The T28 will not self level like your Cub, so avoid cross wind landings. Keep up some speed (1/4 throttle) right up to wheel touch down. And keep the nose angled slightly down to maintain speed right up to landing flare. Good luck (use low rates till comfortable)..........Brian

This plane is just simply the best. No question in my mind that the T-28 Is the most gentle and stable plane in the world? Took off in like 10 feet And I did numerous slow pass over my head and I did an inside and outside loop And inverted for a few seconds and also a few rolls. I did 4 or 5 landings Without any problem. If I wasn't addicted before, I am now!! This is just the greatest hobby and the greatest plane. I’ll post some videos soon.
