Catastrophic failure.
Flew the plane directly into a parking light. I want to blame the wind; but most of it was inexperience.
Anyway - Super Cub -vs- Light Pole. Results Cub 0 - Pole 1
It was a spectacular crash, the plane continued it's momentum in a forward direction, while half the wing fluttered to the ground.
After assessing the damage, the wing was in four distinct pieces. Two large, one medium and one small.
Gorilla glue is awesome! Clear packing time is a great temp vise!
Don't forget that gorilla glue needs moisture to 'activate'. I mixed a couple drops into a glue mixture, and BAM - it foamed up.
Anyway; the new "joints" are strong - I believe I'll reinforce the wing with the remains of an old arrow.
To sum up -- thanks to all who posted about spar repairs, wing strength, etc. The bits and pieces helped me fix the two-halves to become a whole!
Thanks!

I hit a pole last night-I didn't know the cub could look so good while spinning down to the asphalt. Luckily, the damage was limited to a bent prop, nothing else.
I went flying again during lunch today and was super-leary of coming even remotely close to the ballfield's light poles.
