Here is my story,
I've had my SC for a couple of weeks now, have ran it through about nine battery packs with out crashing. Did my first inverted flight yesterday that lasted about 10 seconds. I'm very new to airplanes but I have a G3.5 simulator that I practiced on for about 3 months before buying my RC. I think that helped but definitely no replacement for the real thing.
I thought that since I practiced with the sim and did so well on that I would be able to to go with a HZ Swift as my first plane. The Swift is a V-Tail with ailerons. I was wrong. I think the problem I had was not the ailerons but it was too fast. there wasn't enough time to correct my mistakes with the stick as there is with the SC. I was never able to keep the Swift in the air for longer than 4 minutes and i totaled the fuselage the second day I tried to fly.
I probably could have learned on the Swift but I think I would have spent a lot of down time doing repairs and twice the cost of the SC for parts. So I bought the SC and received instant joy right out of the box.

Congrats and enjoy it. It is a very docile plane to learn with. Good luck, Kevin
