Finally some decsent air close to sundown tonight and flew two bats with good results. I also had a standby experienced pilot to pass the TX to just in case. Very exciting, heart pounding, slightly adrenilyn rushing experience but thouroughly satisfying. I've been flying Twin Otters for a living lately and nothing has beencomparable to this for a long time. My first solo was in a Super Cub west of San Antonio in 1978 and it wasn't nearly as exciting. I'm not at all comfortable with RC yet but I don't think it should take more than two or three more successful flights to raise the confidence. What a thrill! Three landings and no damage....winds were definately not too bad which is a major factor when learning. Can't wait to do it again....

I know how you feel....my friend and i are both commercial airline pilots and we have just started RC Aircraft flying and are completely hooked....we would rather be flying my SC and his PZ Spitfire than the dash 8 Q400 we have been flying today!!!!!
