Thanks! It is growing on me. Sort of looks like wings on an angel from a distance.....sort of. Need to rub eyes hard to see it, but hey. Just waiting on my pal and weather to go maiden it. I may play with canopy before I do....depending on his schedule.

It is a real hard mount up and removal process if I did go that route. I like simple so the stock one is it until I make something else that is simple.

Thanks mac! I epoxied the leading edge of the decals for no pulling up in flight or rough landings. I figured since this is my olny documented build on this I would add all the info about it I can.

Hate to hear that about the canopy. It reallly set the look of the stryker. I'm sure you can figure out a way to make it work

My pal Ryan is building the same plane as I am. He is going to use the canopy instead. He too likes it. It is too much for me. I was looking for somethig more low profile, maybe not as round looking.....more like the B-2...angles and windows and more angles....ya know. Just a personal preference. Otherwise it does not look bad....I guess.

Strykers aren't for looks... they're for haulin' butt.... and flying in wind that you wouldn't want to fly anything else in.
Honestly, every stryker I've seen was fairly beat up and repaired over and over. haha
Just sort of kidding, I think yours looks great.

Successful Maiden! Short low quality video in a few. Video was shot from a still pic cam but it did a good enough job.
I needed to trim the crap out of it after takeoff as I expected. It climbed like crazy at 1/2 to full th. I had to give it most of the trim in the elev.
Not very fast for the first one but am working up to that point per gryphon's instructions.
I was happy with the flight. We had 15-18mph winds steady and one hell of a wind chill. I only lasted 3.5 minutes at the stick. Ryan who is the guy launching it and taping the flight was as cold. We decided to end it early. I could hardly hold the radio. Windchill was -15 or so. Not a good thing for bare hands. I simply cannot fly with gloves on. I like the stick to be touching my thumbs.
I cannot tell if the battery was warm or anything else for that matter. When I landed it we ran to the truck to warm up right away. Hands could not move for about 5 minutes...so the plane was ice cold either way when I got to it. Next flight will be on a much warmer day. 15 above works with me.
