well looks like I forgot to update this. at first the cog was at 3 inches. this was causeing all kinds of problems. I had to add almost 3 oz to the nose. I think the problem is that the motor is not as far out as the stock one. I have had a few good flights with it now, tons of power. unfortunately some long grass broke my motor mount so time yo redesign.
after the extra weight I think the cog is at about 2 to 2 1/2.

love building on a budget!!!! mostly cause I dont have a choice. the one thing thats missing is the full range for sure. nothing beats 2500 feet!! the dx5e rocks but I got it for free like alot of other nuts i have.
