First time posting. I used SPAR's idea on the wing struts with cotton cord, fishing leaders and airplane glue... haven't flown it yet, but feel very confident with this easy modification.
Thanks Spar!!

My method is to unscrew the struts. Get a piece of wire solder or soft wire, 3 or 4 inches long. Stick it through the two holes in the 2 struts, then pull the two ends of the wire together and twist closed (like a twist tie on a loaf of bread). You can pull the structs as tight as you want, removing dihedral for example, or leave them loose.

I have stopped closing the clips that I use as wing struts. The clips are shown in the closed position in the photo below. At first I was just lazy about closing the clips, but since then I've had two forceful crashes that caused the open clips to stretch and release. I believe this may have allowed me to reset everything and fly again without breaking something.

Gee whizz.. This is an old thread but I'll try to add to it. I use piano wire for wing struts. Just take a long piano wire, very light ga. and bend it in half arond a pencil or rod, cross the wire so that makes a hole for the screw to go into and eyeball the length and bend the ends in a nearly 180 degree bend to go into the wing strut plastic mounts/holders. Clip off the excess. They never break and are very easy to secure when you put the wing on the plane.
