SuperCub that's a F4U Corsair Wanna'be

Rod from North Carolina here.

Been flying a SuperCub for a few months now.

Here's a brief description and a few pics of the modified beast.

- stock motor & gearbox
- Thunder Power 3S 2100 mAh battery
- Deans battery connector
- E-Flite 25A speed control
- original prop
- weight is 30 oz (850 g)
- 3" Du-Bro diamond ultra-light wheels
- 1" Du-Bro ultra-light tail wheel
- 1-1/2" x 12" ailerons
- 1-1/2" x 6" flaps
- 6 Hi-Tec HS-55 servos
- Krylon Fusion pain (navy)
- 2 Wing-mounted machine guns
- Spektrum AR6000 receiver
- Spektrum DX6 transmitter

Great looking Cub F4u! Was thinking though, that a 1" rear wheel would finish it up!?

Do the flaps provide extra lift on slow speed landings? I find this thing has such a low stall speed I can't imagine it going any slower in flight.

Did you remove any of the dihedral? I cant tell from the photo's.. I'm very interested in your setup if you cant tell lol

OMFG! That looks awesome. I saw a real one (replica) in the same color at the air show in Oshkosh this weekend. Looks great!

I'm also wondering for all of you that have cut your own ailerons, and flaps if you would be inclined to help someone out with some monetary gains? I'm new to this whole flying thing as far as understanding the full ramifications of my hobby knife, and 10 thumbs.

Great looking cub. It would be great to see some vid of it in flight.
There's not many vids of cubs with ailerons. And i would like to see the roll rate.
