I have an airbrush but would never attempt to paint my planes with my limited talent.I got it to do some detail work on kitchen cabinets last summer while doing some remodeling.Show us some pics when done.We all like to see custom cubs.

Yep just insert the link and it should work. I would start a new thread under the painting forum.
I'm thinking about sprucing up my cub too. I have absolutely zero artistic skills so I think I'll skip the painting and instead use some kind of clear transparency with sticky stuff on the back and use my computer to print some design.

Very nice. Did you airbrush or use covering? It looks nice and smooth, Can't see any Styrofoam marks.

yeh that looks nice. I used to paint cars and I have an airbrush but I'm wondering if priming and clear-coating would add too much weight? I'm also thinking about painting.

hi there everyone, man its been a long time sence ive been here, nice too see all the new members and the old alike, all i used was green low tack painters tape, and just used tole paint, its acrlic you should be able to find it at any hardware/walmart,i diulted it 60\40,or until its flows nice, alittle thicker is fine too,i was also considering clearing the plane, but opted for the clear tape,it helps so much for those wing strikes, and trust me ive had a few lol everthing from guid wires too chain link fence's,and just resently lost my cub,du to a faulty battery conection, lol i found her 4 days later, about 30 feet in a birch tree, and too my surprise all was good,i cound not belive it. but back to my covering,be carefull when apping the tape, cause with that paint, even when dry,the paint will come off,so cut your peice of tape \start from the middle and use the top of your finger as sqiggy and gradully apply it out to wards from center keeping the end of the tapeoff the wing, and this prevents air pockets, what i did was start from the middle of the wing and applied it out wards, then trimed it off at the ends leaving about 1\2'' to wrap down the edges, then did the same from the center outwards doing the other side of the wing hope this helps mike merry christmas to all safe landing www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0PVKkeJHmo
