You need a sealing iron and a roll of covering, scissors and razor blades. The instructions come with the covering. You can cover the wing and fuse, the rest needs to be painted.

So I did up my cub today with econocote covering, cub yellow, and did all the painting with econocote cub yellow spray paint. Needless to say, I'm choked. The paint is nowhere near the color of the covering, it is more of a cream yellow than an vibrant orange yellow. Is there a better match out there beside the krylon fusion, cuz it looks slightly different than the covering as well. Will I be looking at getting cub yellow made custom? this is the cub yellow i'm trying to achieve...which is what color the coving is:

There is only one thing that I can think of. First see if these such thing as ecnotrim. If there is not, use ultratrim. It has a sticky back (like a big sticker) and all you have to do is cover the whole tail with ultratrim cub yellow and leave it hanging over and when your done trim the edges. Hope this helps. found a close match, testors spray yellow is a much better companion to the ultracote
If you are using the cub yellow ultracote, remembe DO NOT buy the cub yellow ultracote spray, it's not cub yellow, it's cream corn yellow!!

Oh, In that case all I did was use spray paint that was meant for use with plastic. It is still kind of easy to scratch but it sure looks great! Here I will post pics of the cowl in a few days when I get my film put on to a disk. Hope this helps. Michael

A little hints about the covering you guys are using. If I am correct , it comes in rolls and you need a hot iron to apply it. How much of the covering do you need and how easy is it to work with?

Happy Flights Sayers Thanks sayers, I have an e-flite aileron orange covered cub about 90% now, just needs some kind of markings on the tail, and I'll be adding a Canadian number on this one somewhere. It's now running futaba fasst gear, so no more antenna hanging out, and I did the famous 'lightning bolt' with carbon fibre ultracote instead of black just for 'cool' factor.

mizzarty Are those the dubro snow skis on your SC? I just made up several pair in different lengths and was wondering about how much surface area of the ski should be in contact with the snow. Not that there has been any snow so far, but I`ll be ready if there is...
