I don't have a Super Cub yet, but I will very soon. In the meantime I am enjoying reading as much as I can about R/C, especially Super Cub flying. This forum is terrific.

Hi spar I'm new to the cub and had about 5 flights now, posted on video section. i drive around on a good day looking for sites. will take it back to the isle of wight where I'm originally from when i visit as there is loads of places to fly there without getting in trouble by land owners apart from that the local park is good but have to get there early when no one is around. enjoy it when you buy one and remember buy more props and wing struts as they break easy.

Hmm - There is an "isle of wight" county close to me thats pretty rural.. Anyways - I fly at a local park thats about a 1600m oval track + 2 football fields of open area. Lots of Electric flyers on Sunday mornings. The field is pretty much emptied through the week in the summer. Makes for good Evening flights after work..
There is also a Navy Auxilary Landing Field not too far from me where they let RC guys use the runway on the weekends. (Through the week they practice F-18 touch n goes) and thats always fun to go out and watch the jets fly around. They have a field part designated to Electrics but I am too nervous to be in the sky at the same time as a 10,000 dollar model...

Hi surjer I take it your in the USA. The isle of wight i am talking about is the original island off the coast of Portsmouth/Hampshire. Not a lot of people remember it but we Brits used to own America, thats why some name places are the same as those in our great nation I joke. please can any American patriots refrain from the usual "our country's better than yours" remarks..... saying that, our Armys better than yours ;D

lol - I knew you lived out that way from your "Location". Its just funny cause I work in "Portsmouth, Virginia" and Isle of White County is not too far from here either... Kind of wished I lived out that way. I live pretty close to the beach which is really close to Oceana Navy base. We get F-18's flying over all day and night at probably 1000' altitude. The landing strip is about 1 mile from my place. VERY VERY LOUD! People have bumper stickers that say
I <3 JET NOISE
I live in Virginia Beach...
cough cough - USA pwns teh Britts.... - cough cough.. Just teasing!

Would love too, but as I'm on work computer we have locks on certain sites and the link to the map is a forbidden site adult/mature content
