The Grasshopper

Hey Guys, here's pic's of my third SC. I've been a airshow buff for many years and seen my share of warbirds. So, I made the SC a USAF Grasshopper with a 4ch hitec lazer 4, 12" y-harness, 4 hs-55 servos, ailerons, kontronik sun 1000 brushed esc with brake, 2 1/2" wheels and 1" tailwheel!



(I'm not done yet but, I still have some painting to do!) New pic's to come!

Very nice. Any pictures of the assembled outcome?

I haven't painted the rest yet and I have to set the ailerons after I get the y-harness in the mail. The bottom of the wing, fuse and cowl are going to be sprayed a light tan satin color. I still haven't did the windows yet.

Looks pretty cool!! Do you have any idea how much weight the paint adds?

Someday I may paint mine but I'm afraid it won't look very good so I'll stick with ugly white for now.

There is really no added weight to the SC but, weight can make your SC a more stable flier. The krylon fusion paint is water based and dries quite fast. It really isn't that hard to paint your SC, just take your time and beware of over spray!

very nice job, you obviously have a vast knowledge in RC but bought a SC anyway? I want to do some kind of green too and I am about to start as my new super-strong cowl is in the mail.
