Greetings Gurus
I have been looking at some pics of real SC's and I have notices some of them have the Ailerons closer to the fuse vs closer to the tip of the wing. Would someone get different results with placement of the Aileron or would it not matter?
TIA

If you put a board across your shoulders that stuck out 6' to either side and I pushed lightly on it about 1' from you the effect would not be as great as if I pushed with equal pressure at the ends. With a plane like the SC that has a thick wing and a lot of dihedral and always wants to fly level you need all the leverage at the tip you can get. What you may have seen closer to the fuselage were flaps.

Cool Thanks I am completely new to all of this. And I spot things like that and analyze it to death.

I extended mine all the way out to the tips of the wings. Also made them a little wider than other people, 2", most of the ones I've seen are only 1", mine are 12" long too. The wider the ailerons the better response you'll get, especially at slower speeds when you're coming in to land.
