Jim and I'm a...................................Cubaholic.
My RC'ing had been limited to cars while stationed over seas, years ago. I managed to quit cold turkey when I came back state side.
But I've always had this burning deep inside. Finally it consumed me and I have looked to the skies for my salvation. First it was Air Hogs with my son and daughter in the front yard. But they are young and don't have enough money to support my habit.
So onto the HZ ABC 2. First flights were good but lacked something, hum could it be ELEVATOR! You can probably guess what happened next? Yep, after spiraling in from MANY mistakes high. I knew exactly where fishing line belonged, in the water with a hook on one end and jerk on the other. I managed to put the pieces back together with some devilish mods, thanks to the many ideas from all of you out in www,land
Well this spring as the grass was turning I again looked to the skies for peace. My ABC 2 was filling the void until it again decided to re-prove Newtons' law.
Enter the SC, (drool) I recently finished reading the 130+ pages on RCUni
and when I came up for air there it was. My very own Super Cub. I have flown it with success, until today. While re-acquainting it with the Terra Firma my battery box decided it needed a closer look at rye grass upon which I had settled it onto. I managed to get everything back together, and will get it up in the air again, this I promise,
I owe many credits and thanks to so many of you I can't name you all.
My goals are: get more comfortable with 3 channels, and AP. I already have the cutest little credit card sized 5-1 DVR, just trying to get all 5 features figured out. mrmugen has already heard from me and is partly to blame for this madness
