Ok guys I swear this is a true story. I haven't posted much on this board for the last 6 months. We had a new baby girl in October so I've been a little busy. Some of you may remember I farm and also have a cow/calf operation. Right now we are having baby calves so I thought I would drive out check the cows and then enjoy some flying with my Typhoon 2 that I got for Christmas. My first flight went fairly well so after installing the 2nd battery I decided to get a little brave and instead of hand launching the plane I would just let it fly straight up out of my hand without throwing it as it has the power to do this. I held it straight up and gave it full power. It went up then rolled inverted and in my haste I hit the stick the wrong way and it went straight down. To my horror it crashed right between the eyes of a cow standing not 10 feet away from me at full throttle. The cow was fine she just took a step back and then continued eating her hay. My plane was toast. It snapped the nose off, bent the prop shaft, shelled out the cowling and ruined a prop shaft bearing. Here is a picture of me feeling sorry for myself. Todd

Good to hear from you again Todd. Congratulations on your new baby. Glad to see you still get some time to fly. I bet you'll have your typhoon flying again in no time But I've got to say that you're the only one I know to have problems with hitting cows ;D
