I used Dubro skiis for park flyers. Mounting them and getting them to move correctly (or rather not move too much) was kind of a trial and error thing. Here are the few tips I did: 1) fill the bottom mounting cavity about half full of epoxy. Once it is hard, drill the hole for the axle. 2) Bend the spring so that it will hook on the landing strut and hold the ski in the proper angle. 3) I used nylon bolts glued to the landing axle as spacers. 4) I had to put the portion of the spring that pushes against the ski through a piece of plastic antenna tube or it tended to puncture the plastic ski. I glued the antenna tube to the ski so that the whole ski won't tilt up too far in flight and form an "air dam." You can't see the plastic tube in this picture, it was added later after trial and error in flight. The SC took off nicely in powder snow. Landing was trickier, about 2/3 of the time it nosed over and after a time filled the nose with snow. I've since put screen over the air holes to prevent snow from packing in:

I used spray adhesive to mount my screen. Then I soaked it with CA because the spray adhesive doesn't hold as well. Epoxy won't work at all on this kind of plastic.

I have also done the dubro ski mod and they work great. I filled the ski attachment with epoxy and drilled through it for extra support. I hard packed snow and no wind it makes for a beautiful scale rog...

Tele1974 I tried to drill out the provided mounting hardware but couldn't get my drill bit to go through them without a drill press, hence I used the plastic bolts. Your method would be much better in mounting the spring if the user has a drill press.

I took my SC out with the skiis today for the first time this winter. We had 5 inches of powder last weekend. It had a chance to pack a bit. today the SC slid nicely across the snow without sinking.
Sure is a blast to fly touch and goes, taxi around for takeoffs, etc. with the skiis.
I made a tail ski out of the handle of a plastic milk jug. Works great.

I had to drill out the hubs with a 7/64 drill bit.
Held the hub in my fingers, and used a regular drill.
very simple modification
