Hi guys, First post. Great forum! The only (minor) problem I was having with my SC, was that the stock wheels have some lateral movement on the axel, and at times were chafing against the wheel pants, making for some interesting rollouts on landing I decided to fix this. I took two Hyperion collars (HP-COLLAR-30) that I had around and added them to the axels. I then ran into a slight issue with the stock plastic retaining nuts. They wear out rather quick, so I decided to try some Duratrax 4-40 locknuts, and I was real happy to find that it's a perfect fit! Now the wheels are running much better (no more lateral movement on the axel), there is no more chafing against the wheel pants, and she rolls out nicely on landing. Cheers, RH../

wow thats weird, u just tried some 4-40's at the lhs today and they didnt fit. maybe my threads are damaged, owell i have a set of collars on there now so no more falling tires.
my cub hasn't had the skirts on it since day one. i put one on and it was rubbing on the wheel, so i just took it off and went flying.

Hi RH. Welcome to the forum. Nice upgrade.
Looking at that box in your pic tells me you could be the owner of a T rex 450. I used to have one and it was my start in the RC world. ;D I don't have the heli anymore but i still have the small case.

Hi SCC. Yep, that's a 450's box I stopped flying helis (sold e'm all) and now I'm flying a Typhoon 3D, 3DHS Katana and the SC. We're an all-electric club, and I am using the (completely stock) SC to teach new pilots. Once they are able to take off and land, I send them to buy their own Cheers, RH../

Yeah, I found that the wheels wouldn't roll, so I jsut took off the plates or whatever, my landings and take offs are much better ;]

All that I had to do was snip a little of the landing gear pants off and the wheels don't rub on them anymore!
