Finally got to fly my new Super Cub: just back into flying after 45& years away-mostly 1/2A U control, so very new to R/C. Bought the SC after much perusal of this and other R/C sites, as it appeared to be a good beginning plane. 1st flight it appeared to be VERY tail heavy with the supplied battery. Came back & actually did the balance test: took several ounces of weight just behind the cowl to balance level. Is this normal? Wanted to use higher capacity battery, but that would really put it tail heavy, I think. Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks! John in Maryland

here is mine in and what i had to do to balance it supercubclub.proboards.com/thread/5030/cg-adjustments-mod-changesit took two nickels and two pennies to balance it I taped them inside the cowl to balance the plane as mine was tail heavy as well i had added a larger tail wheel and some clear tape on edges I assumed that little bit made it tail heavy, but i think it was tail heavy all along you can see the pictures I used a CG machine to balance the plane flew very well . and Welcome to the site
