Hi, I have a Super Cub S which has had less than 30 minutes use. Today when I was hoping to get more flying time in the following occurred. I did the usual routine switched on the Transmitter waited for 5 sec. & went to connect the battery, but as I did the motor span up to full revs for a split second & stopped then there is no more response ( the throttle & trim was at its lowest position), also there is no response from either elevator or rudder controls. The battery is fully charged as is the Transmitter ones. This now happens each time I try connecting up. I should add the plane has not been crashed or damaged in any way, & was ok the last time it was used a couple of weeks ago.

The ESC/RX is all one Unit
Sounds like it is bad or shorted....
Since you only had the plane for a short time whomever the Hobby shop you purchased it from should replace it with no issues .
Sorry for the problem
But this is a great plane and easy to fly even without the SAFE set up in the newer model you have
Do not let that discourage you....get it fixed and keep flying
let us know how it goes.

Yes, what hghost indicated. The ESC/RX is kind of the expensive proprietary weak link in the Cub. Hopefully you can get it replaced as a warranty item. Note - if for ANY reason the prop was stopped (simple nose-over on landing) for even a short time while power was still being fed to the motor that can easily fry the ESC. This is true for ANY ESC. Always cut the throttle immediately if the motor is stopped.
If you can't warranty it, the replacement is expensive enough that you might consider swapping out the whole power train to move away from that proprietary unit. The motor is brushed, and brushed ESC are becoming hard to get and kind of a dead end. So you have to swap out the motor, ESC, and RX. The good thing is THOSE components can be used elsewhere.
