I am not sure why you would have to bind the plane every time you plug in a new battery
I do not own a DX6i , but it maybe something with the Tx programming ( not sure )older versions had some issues and the manuals were wrong
you could call Horizon Hobby and ask them about it just use their call back deal...leave your name and info and they will call you back
You should not have to re-bind with every battery change .
But many have noted after awhile the tail will oscillate on this plane ( some the SAFE Board was loose but many were moving when the plane was arming
I explained to another when you hook up the battery the plane needs to be setting level and on the ground
just attach the battery and let it hang there until the SAFE system sets itself...the control surface will twitch and the ESC will beep
after it does it's thing THEN install the battery....the plane needs to be level and perfectly still while going through it's process
They found after they did that it never had the oscillating issue anymore
IF you hold it in your hand when plugging in the battery and you are moving it about, it will throw the gyro's off and it will cause
the AS3X an issue ....( oscillating )
here is another forum where that was addressed
