Yes, its elevon. But, if I can't, at least it'll be cool to see its guts!

Well, it happened again on the replacement ESC/receiver. I'm at a loss as to what to do with it.

Did you ever call Horizon? That's peculiar enough they should want to address it. If it's not the TX, it happens with multiple batteries, and is still doing it with a new RX/ESC then you've missed a connection issue (bad wire, bad crimp, bad solder joint) somewhere or have a funky motor. My first motor would cut out. I did a water break-in (in this case more of a 'clean up' since it was well used) and the problem went away. I have no idea why. The RX antenna is intact, well connected, and properly exposed to the TX signal? If the antenna is shadowed by the battery or motor (or anything blocking the TX signal) it will cut out. This is why some Spektrum RX have the satellite antenna, to prevent signal blocking. *** This might be worth entertaining a try if none of the above work out: Lemon Rx 7 channel DSMX receiver + stabiliser - www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74476If you don't care about the stabilization function at this point you can get the RX for cheap. You would need to do a brushless motor mod + new ESC also, but you would be rid of the proprietary electronics.

I may have to do that FD, it was another total loss of reception. Zero response to throttle or elevator/rudder inputs. I'm getting tired of fishing it out of mesquite scrub. Ripped off a set of floats this time too.
