On my SC, I was having a lot of problems in getting my battery in place when I used the stock battery door to the underside of the fuselage. I have arthritis in my fingers and big mitts, so this was a problem I tackled by simply moving the battery to the top of the inside fuselage with the wing off. I had put in eye bolt screws, so they made it easy enough to remove the wing struts, pop in a battery and then reassemble the wing to fly. Because of some of the other mods I had made, I sealed down the edges of the battery box frame to the outside of the fuselage. I don't want to remove that and the battery door itself will still open okay in this area. I want to remove the receiver from the top of the plastic battery box and move it to the side of the inside fuselage. I then want to cut the plastic battery box so that a battery can be inserted vertically from the bottom of the plane at the battery box. Hope that explains it well enough. My problem is that when I move the four ears back on the top of the plastic battery box, the receiver does not just pop out. I don't know if it is hot glued into place there or if they used servo tape, but it won't budge and I don't want to break anything in trying to remove it. What is the easiest and safest way to remove the rx from the top of the plastic battery box? When it is out, I'll cut away the battery box pieces that should allow the battery to be inserted vertically from the underside of the fuselage. Thanks for any ideas.
