I am still waiting for the wind to abate so I can get my first flight but when fitting the main wing the plastic inserts in the middle of the wing were not lined up. When I align the wing using the leading edge insert the trailing edge insert is not in line and looks not fitted correctly. Do I use this method to line up the wing or is there a better method of fitting the wing like lining up with the bends in the wing, so when I do take of I don't wing over and crash.
Thanks Niko...

the plastic inserts keeps the rubber bands from digging into the edges of the wing, they go in the middle of the wing on the flat part between were the wings start to bend up, if its not in the right place, just pry it off & reposition it with some double sided tape.

I used a measuring tape to determine the exact center of the wing, then drew a dot with a blue permanent marker at that point on the leading edge and the rear of the wing. I did the same on the fuselage. I noticed that the plastic protective guards were very slightly off center, but left them alone as they are close enough and do their job. The dots match the color scheme, and more importantly allow for perfect wing alignment out in the field.

These "simple" things are the start of a lifelong hobby and to impart knowledge to another that is learning is admirable. Please do not forget, that one spells "color" with a u as in colour, and centre, not center. I just love stirring up these English/American discrepancies. Perhaps it might be because I am an old English cantankerous bastard? Fly well and long, All the best, CH

crazy horse...
interesting that you mentioned those two spelling differences between English and american "english". i teach as a profession and can always tell when students copy paragraphs from the internet into "their own" reports simply by spotting both of those words. and i too can be considered cantankerous at times...

Back in the early 80's, I was at a video store one day when several different students began coming in and trying to locate the film, Great Expectations. I was impressed that the students seemed intent on learning about the book by checking out that old movie. I remembered just how difficult the thingyen's story was to read through when I was of high school age. After about 3-4 students came in looking for that specific movie, it finally registered that they were trying to cheat by not reading the book. Creatively devious of them, but something we did not grow up with the opportunity to do, as we didn't have video available to us when I was of high school age. My question is, do the colors run if they are spelled as colours? I had my post office box at Centre Hall, PA, but the post office there was not in the center of that town, as the town sign said so. :-)
