I had a nasty crash with my super cub, well I'm glad to at least have (that) out of the way now I can get on to flying. Any way while putting the electronics in the new body I checked that the "vertical stabs/ruder moved , but they don't. Question: where the (control) wires running from the vertical stabs/ruder meet up with the "servo" (arms) are those (arms) pointing down the length of the plane? thanks in advance, brakallie1

The servo arms should be pointing to the sides of the cub. Remove servo arms. Turn on transmitter and then plug up the cub. Your servos will then be at there center point. Put the servo arms back on the servos pointing to the sides of the cub. You will then have the full movement of the servos. You may find that your servos stripped in the crash and that's why they are pointing in the wrong direction.

Thanks, it looks like (1) of the servos is "toast".
Have Outstanding Flights,

There are tiny little plastic gears in the servos. Crashing can strip teeth as the shock of the control surface jams them. There are metal gear servos that help prevent this. In general they are move expensive. Contrary to what you would think they also wear faster.

As it turned out the servo(s) were just fine, It seems with my receiver the "rudder" servo wire needed to be (plugged) into a (different) slot in the plane. I would not have known this and would have replaced the (servo) just to find it did not seem to work, but as luck would have it (all) you flying folks who know your (stuff) helped me out. ;D Have a great flight, brakallie1
