Crashed today. Cowl is all mangled. I would like to remove the cowl to tape it all together, but need to remove prop and cap (piece in front of prop - sorry poor nomenclature) first. I am semi-technically minded... Help!
BTW, was first time flying ever today - wow it was the greatest experience ever!
Thanks

The spinner just pulls right off. Once you remove that you should see a nut. Unscrew that and the prop should come off.

Rubber thing (spinner)-yank it off. Yeah....YANK/PRY/PULL as necessary. Probably initially glued on. To prevent you from skewering people with the prop shaft.
Pay ATTENTION to how the rest of it goes together. Digital cameras are great for that.

If you can't just yank it off, fold up the two flaps on the spinner (that fit down between the blades) and unscrew it. Don't worry, it won't break.

Many thanks Dillzio, that's exactly what I did.
To make it easier, simply fold back the ears on the spinner and hold it.
Then simply spin the prop... the spinner will unscrew without all the hassle of keeping those ears holded back while turning the spinner.
Awesome tip, should be stickied or added to a FAQ.
Cheers Tim
