ive soldered many of times ... but now i know how to do it right .. wish id of saw these videos 25 years ago ... o'well better late than never ..thanx ev1.........

Thanks for the vid and tips Kevin, so clear and straightforward. Will be changing various things to Deans connectors as I go so this will help a lot as my soldering has always been shaky at best!

You should consider using XT-60s instead of Deans, Deans are copywrited, so batteries can't come with deans connectors on them. XT-60s are not copywrited, they're cheap, and all the batteries from hobbyking come with them. XT-60s are also easier to solder.
Not that there's anything WRONG with Deans, but I think it just makes life easier for yourself if you just buy batteries from hobbyking without having to worry about changing their connectors.

Now you come to mention it, the ones I'm using are XT, Deans pattern. And yes, quite easy to solder once I got the hang of it (having melted a couple, not remembered to put the shrink sleeve on first etc lol) Will use these as standard I think
