After my horrible performance tonight, my battery box is pretty smashed up. I'm going to attempt to glue it to back in shape and then I guess I'll try some hot glue. Seems like my landings into deep grass are a little violent. It was the landing gear that broke the battery box and essentially ripped it out of the fuse

glue is your friend. mine did that after a bad landing, used some sumo glue and it hasn't given me any problems since.

I'm looking at a brand new, never been flown SC. I've been reading about re-gluing the battery box, but I have no idea how to do that.
When I look at my SC, the frame of the battery door is screwed through the bottom of the fuselage so the screws end up in the battery box. In other words, the screws go through three layers: plastic, foam, plastic. There is a little bit of glue holding the battery door frame to the bottom of the fuselage. At least on my plane, the glue would seem to contribute less strength than the screws.
Am I confused about this?

The glue holding my battery box was not very substantial either. To fortify the area I applied two pieces of Scotch Extreme packing tape and then screwed the battery box door in place. The tape makes a complete "U" around the whole fuselage. I slit the tape at the bottom for the battery hole and folded the tape into the holw.
