Hey swampfox I saw your light install, and am very impressed. I want to do something similar, but am considering mounting 1 white LED around the area of the strut mounts on the wing, pointing back at the fuse on each side to light it up. any thoughts?

Hi Mizzarty,
I think it would work as long as it lit up the sides of the plane well. If they are just barely visible then you might have troubles. I would try it and then fly when its dark but not completely dark and see how it works.

Mizzarty, That looks SWEET!!! Have you flown it at night yet? I have just 1 white LED out front and it almost hurts my eyes flying it at night. Your setup might make you go blind Todd

I haven't had the opportunity to take it for a rip yet, maybe saturday evening, it all depends on the wind here, stoopid flat country it never stops. It's never windy or not windy here, it's degrees of windy-ness lol

Here are a couple of pics of my lights: They are made by Garrity. www.garritylites.com/page77.html They have a constant-on and flash/stobe settings. They work very well and weigh about 22g each. My stock SC handles them with no issue. It was a little tail heavy but was trimmed out in flight without a problem.
