Finchkid24, She sounds amazing and i cant wait to see video. Did you have a solid takeof/landing area as she doesnt look like she will do grass too well

SB - you honestly won't be disappointed. Its an amazing plane.
frazer - videos SHOULD be up by tomorrow night, as longs as my girlfriend can be camera girl. Yes, I had a very big, long PE black top (i'll take a pictures tomorrow) that has basket ball courts on it (yes, the polls HAVE jumped out and interfaered with my Cubs landings....but now I stand at the VERY end of the run way so I can getter a better idea of how far left or right I need to be). I dont think it would fair in grass well. It just seems like a tricycle style gear setup wouldn't do well in grass on any plane.
I am really thinking about putting retracts in (since I have a great run way) but I don't know where to start...anybody have any pointers? A guide perhaps?
thanks.

thanks SCC. I was hoping I could use the exec jet retracts. The seem really easy to use. The only hard part is going to be the front wheel!

The nose wheel does look like it will be a challenge but it looks worth it Check out ''wcmneals'' blog at RCG. He has close up pics of the nose wheel and vid of the retracts. www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=11043

nice retracts.
I'll have to add that to the list of things to do. Thanks for the links!

So, I have further been looking into these retracts. The front wheel is going to be very hard. I am not sure if I want to attempt it. The two mains would be pretty easy but their is so much to cut away up front and i'd have to add in two servos. I am considering making the front wheel non steerable. However, I am still rolling that over in my head. If I dont do retracts, I will be doing flaps for nice slow landings. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a T28 Trojan to go fly -Finch
