NICE CAMERA. I use the old flycam one. i love it. got some vids in video section. just a sugestion,i have my one fixed to the body just behind the act sensors and a rubber band around body and cam for extra saftey. with the new tilt on the flycam lense you might get a better picture as its further away from the prop. nice view from the behind as well if you. i find i found there was interferance from the electris when it was on the battery box. the pictures you posted, are they taken from a video then? Are you going to post it?

Thanks for the tips.
The pictures were taken using the "Photo Endless" mode, where it takes a still shot every 4 seconds.
I tried taking a video, but when I got home to look at it, the video was nowhere to be found on the card. I'm guessing the micro-SD card (in a standard SD adapter) that I was using was too slow in writing the video to memory.

cool, thats a great new feature. but every 4 seconds means with a 1gb sd card, youll have looooooads of pics to sort out after the normal 10-20min flights, sounds a bit of a pain. i would change to a normal sd card as soon as, there cheap as chips now. cant wait to see a video, my old fly cam is almost had it, it gets used for everything.

I just bought a Sandisk Ultra II 2GB SD card last night (on sale at BB for only $25), so hopefully that will do the trick. It probably won't be until this weekend until I'm able to go flying again though.

I had some more success with the FCO2 tonight. Unfortunately, by the time I got home from work and got the plane all set up, the sun had just set, so my photos and videos didn't turn out great. The photos were blurry, and the video was choppy, but apparently the new SanDisk Ultra II SD card fixed the issue I was having before (of it not recording video at all). On the plus side, I was able to eliminate the prop from getting in view of the camera. I did this by mounting the FCO2 under the left wing, just outside of the strut attachment points and just behind the leading edge where the wing profile flattens out. I also added some counter-weights (5 quarters and 4 dimes taped together to be exact, or 37.4 grams) to the same spot on the right wing. So, here are some of the better pics, along with a link to the YouTube video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAQ3d5IDxhQ

Here are some photos of how I mounted the FCO2 to avoid getting the prop in shot: 1) FCO2 is mounted under left wing, just outside of the strut attachment points and right behind the leading edge where the profile flattens out. I use Velcro to attach the FCO2, then I tie the safety cable to the strut with a small zip tie (not shown). 2) I placed a counter-weight in the same place on the right wing consisting of 5 quarters and 4 dimes taped together with electrical tape, which weighs slightly more than 37.4 grams. (The FCO2 is rated at 37 grams without the SD card.) Again, I used Velcro to attach the weight. (This setup would allow me to swap the camera to the right side if I wanted to for some reason.) 3) Shown below is the overall shot. It's kind of hard to see the FCO2 and the counter-weight since the underside of the wing is painted flat black. However, this does provide the added benefit of not making it too obvious that I'm taking aerial photos / videos.

hi ive just got a FCO2 an its pretty kool ;D. if i mount it about 10 inches forward of the talwheel just behind those 3 hole thingies would it affect the c of g alot and would a few notches of elevator trim cancel it out?

^^^^ that far back it would have quite an effect. the farther you get from the cog the more of an effect it will have. only way to safely mount it there would be to rebalanced it but you cant really add too much more weight with the camera on it unless its running at least lipos or burshless. best to keep the weight as close to the cog as possiable.

To avoid this problem if you're interested in a remote interface for the FlycamoneV2 to allow you to control the FCO2 shutter remotely from your Tx (take as many or as few pics/videos as you want after takeoff) check out www.curverc.co.uk !
