Help me out a little bit here regarding Dual rate.I am new to the hobby. Also with the nose wheel , how does it taxi in the grass, or is a paved runway a necessity? Look for BigTone's videos. If I remember right he was taxying his Trojan in 3" of grass. You can hear the prop slicing through as it's moving. I have a Trojan, have only had a chance to fly it 3-4 times and think it's a great plane. The dual rates are for the ailerons, rudder and elevator servos. It controls how much throw the servos will have depending on if you turn the rates on high or low. If you are new to the plane, especially ailerons you want to have the rates on Low, this means the plane won't be as sensitive when you move the sticks around and it will be easier to control. Once you get used to the plane and want more aggressive flying you switch to high and you will get greater throw on the servos and the plane will be much more responsive to small movements with the sticks.

Hey,
I've had my T-28 since December and have been pretty happy with it until the OEM battery puffed a couple of weeks ago. I had maybe 10 cycles on this battery. I have a decent charger, Vision Peak Ultra so it has never been over charged and never been drained below 80%.
I sent HorrizonHobby an e-mail about this and here is their response. ********************* Jay, thank you for the email. The warranty is that the item will be free from manufacturing defects out of the box. Once flown there is no longer a warranty.
I hope you find this information useful. If you should have any further questions, please reply to this email or give us a call at 1-877-504-0233.
Thanks, Andrew Product Support Team Member Horizon Hobby Distributors 4105 Fieldstone Road Champaign, IL 61822 877-504-0233 productsupport@horizonhobby.com *******************************
To say I'm disappointed in this is an understatement. I have read many posts from people who have flown their planes and found out there was a defective part and gotten it replaced under warranty.
I can understand if the battery had a one month warranty and the time limit had expired but to seem to randomly say that they won't warrant this item because I flew it is ludicrous.
I will be thinking hard before I buy another Hobbyzone product.

I agree with mac. Only get the Trojan if you think you're ready!

Wow, ok three posts in a row... three months later! Ok, for all of those wanting to go to the T-28 Trojan there are some requirements... 1. Land the Cub 2. The Cub Only goes 30 MPH, I clocked my Trojan at 71 MPH! 3. The Trojan is a VERY good plane, very stable and handles aerobatics very easily! 4. Land The CUB! 5. The Trojan has dual rates, meaning flip the switch and it'll do twice the manueverability. 6. Try not to advance too fast in the hobby, it took me 3 years to get where I am now... Flying 3D, Warbirds, and of course EDF jets! ;D 7. The Trojan CAN take-off in grass! 8. 72MHz! 9. It flies VERY scale and don't push it in a split-s at low altitude! ;D... Iv'e learned 10. It does have ailerons! 11. And Last... LAND THE CUB! ;D Hope that helps, any questions, email me at cvrcmember@gmail.com. ;DLand the Cub! ;D

11. And Last... LAND THE CUB! ;D You forgot to add.... Land the club without crashing ;D (there is a difference between landing it, and landing it without crashing) Oh.. and get a bigger flying field - the T-28 requires a bit more room.

You should also mention repeatedly to that statement.
"Land the cub, without crashing, repeatedly"
