Here's the new and improved SC. I used my T-28 motor I had left over. Flies perfect! SG right on. Hope you enjoy as much as I. Dave

Thanks! I had a good time painting the cub! My new SCLP is done in the traditional yellow with black trim... no photos yet but there will soon be! I am buying the floats tomorrow and will be decking them out as aluminum with all the attachments.

That's a great job! What does it say on the nose? I like that you took the windows to another level. I'll have to remember that the next time that I paint. What did you do to get red rubber bands and how are they holding up? Thanks for sharing.

It says, "Sweet little Goodie" because that's my wife's nickname. There's no better way to get money for a hobby than to put your wife's name on it. Glad you like the windows, they're simply painted on. Because this plane is an RTF, I don't have to take the wing off so I enameled the rubber bands. I recently modified my wing with square channeling to run the rubber bands through under the wing so I have no need for rubber bands over the top. However, the bands in the picture held up very nicely. The channeling was hot glued to underside of the wing just outside the fuselage. Works really well. Thanks.

Here's my new SCLP. Went with the traditional yellow and I believe I will be putting floats on this weekend. Hope you like it.

There's no better way to get money for a hobby than to put your wife's name on it. Oh man...that's BRILLIANT!! I'm going to put my wifes name on everything! ;D Love the yellow cub. Is my screen dirty or does the wing have frames?

Looks like he did an effect with paint, to look like frames. Very nice touch.

yes it was a simple paint effect. Held a sheet of card stock over the wing and touched a very light spray of tan enamel every 2 inches, then when it was dry I gently over sprayed with the yellow. nothin fancy but it looks cool.
