Well I am so satisfied with the 5 1200mah packs I ordered, that I just ordered 5 more in 1500mah 20C. I am including a link to this guy because I believe he sells the best battery for the buck. I have over 20 packs from him now and every one is great. He sells a cheap lipo charger with balancer for 30 bucks. He has never turned down one of my offers and I get them at about 1/2 the cost he shows on his lists. Only when I order a bunch do I try to offer a low ball and he has always accepted them. I just ordered 5 of these for 160.00. Thats 120.00 cheaper......thats 2 more packs! I love this guy! I assure you they have more power than most lipo's out there too. I test them to the max usually. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBOFF%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320077377188&rd=1&rd=1Check out his other batteries too. Make sure to make him an offer instead of just buying them at regular price. He is cool and I recommend him to anyone who needs power at an affordable price. Peace, Kevin

I got the 5 1500's today and got them all charged up. I will have to wait for the weather to break before testing them. I am going to run a couple of them through bench testing right now though.

Heyas- Have you had a chance to fly with these packs yet? I am looking forward to purchasing a couple of these if they perform as well as it appears the others did for you. I have yet to use any lipo in my SC yet, but will be soon I read a post in RC groups where the poster was claiming that after a few flights the stock motor or esc would be damaged by the voltage increase... Anyone have any problems with 3S lipos and otherwise stock SC gear? Thanks

I absolutely love em! I would get the 1200's if I was to do it again. The 1500's are a lil big for the ease of use. I like the fit of the 1200's better but the 1500's do work fine too. As far as the stock sc motor is concerned you will be happy to replace it (only 8 bucks) when it goes when you have as much fun as you will with lipo. I would say I had about 100 packs of lipo through the stock sc motor before I pulled it out. I may have been lucky? I have 2 friends who have done the same thing with no issues what so ever.

Awesome, thanks for the fast reply! 1200s it will be. I have thought about upgrading the whole works many times, but... I have a spit and typhoon for that. I love my SC (Learned on it, its seen its share of unscheduled -cough- landings..) I still enjoy flying the SC as much as I can, often leaving other models behind. Any suggestions on a "slightly better, no other mods" upgrade to the stock motor when/if I do need to make the change? Is the PZ any different than the HZ? (I doubt it, but ya never know) Maybe an eflite or other?
Good flying days to all,

Make sure you offer him half of what he wants (if ordering more then 1). I found that orderering more than 1 makes it very easy for him to take your offers. Like I said I have about 50 packs from him and all of them were 1/2 price or less. I just got 5 6000mah lipo's from him for my Jenny (Eflite bipe), for 7 dollars a piece. I got 5 of the 300mah's for 5 bucks a piece. My lhs wants 30 bucks for a 600mah each.......you can add up the money savings and see why I order lots of them. Still come out ahead and I give a few away now and then. When they are this cheap you can afford to let folks use them and get hooked on them. Man does this sound like drugs or what?!?! I get higher than a kite when I fly.........no drugs needed! Just lipo!

MrMuggen I am new to the rc community and just had my supercub for two months now. I fly it pretty well but really need extra power for longer flight times and for more safer easier stunts.
I am really interested in adding extra power to the super cub, it is really an excellent plane. But I do not want to put in a brushless setup due to many modifications and especially $$$, at least not now anyways.
I am a total newb to RC but really enjoy flying and I really the extra power (not too much though) for some extra flight times and better power for stunts like inverted flight.
I went to your enerland site but he didnt have any more 1200 or 1500 mah li-pos. Can you provide a couple of links to batteries that are very reliable and reasonable prices including the chargers to charge them?(i.e. thunderpowers etc) I really would appreciate it. Also a short "how to" would also help me out in removing the connector from the esc in order to put in lipos. thanks for your time and help mrmuggen.
what other modification would I need to do in order to make the supercub a li-po flyer?

didiboy16. Welcome to the forum. Here are a couple of pics showing the jumper removed. Use a pair of tweasers. I used the prong of my multi-meter that you see in the pic. The jumper just slides up and out.

Did anyone find any enerland 1200 or 1500 mah lipo's? I have the same question as didiboy16. What are comparable batteries? What are recommendations for a reasonably priced charger?

Thanks for the reply SCC. Sorry for late reply, I was away on vacations and have only recently checked the forum. Anyways.... Is that all I need in order to plug in Li-po batteries? (ASide from changing the connectors from battery and plane) Can you direct me to some 1200mah Li-po with charger that I could buy online? thanks for the help. ps. also thinking about painting the cub and found some great posting regarding painting it. great forums!

hey guys, In what areas will a 11.1v 1200mah 10C Li-PO battery improve my flight time, performance and power? Should I go for something bigger or is this ok? I ask the question because mrmugen reported saying that 11.1v 1200mah would be the better choice if he would buy batteries again. thanks for the time guys...

Hey didiboy16...a 10c will not be a good choice unless it is a 2100. You see the stock SC motor draws 13A with the 3s lipo. A 1200 10c can only put out 12A safely (actually 10A safely in my book). Now a 20c 1200mah can put out 24A max continuous and handle 48A surges. Try to find a decent 20c 1200 3s and you will be hooked up.
