Then practice before adding extra power and weight. Make sure your landings are better too. It is much easier to land the cub stock. Kevin

I've never crashed on a landing, it's the flying too low because it's windy and turning causes a death roll that gets me. just need some windless days and time...

If you GOTTA fly when it's windy it's actually better to get some height. Flying low and slow is when you get slammed. Landing is the most dangerous time as you have little reserve control. Use at least 7-cells, 8 is better, more weight, more power. Do NOT fly to LVC. Being low on power is to forfeit control. Fly aggressively for about 5-6" and bring it in with authority into the wind, straight as possible. Promise yourself you won't do that again. Do ALL strut/battery box/wing and tail reinforcements before proceeding. You can find them in the threads. Those landing cartwheels are hell on parts. fly

Do I properly understand that a "dean" is a type of Plyg? Would someone post what a "rx" is? Thanks Rolie

yes deans is a type of connector, its popular because its very reliable, easy to use and handles quite a bit of current. rx stands for receiver, which is part of the radio system that is in the plane. a tx is the transmitter is the part you hold in your hand.

When i looked at how to mod my batt box to fit a lipo, I noticed that the RX is directly above the battery box; however, you guys have the lipo going staight through the box. That must mean you relocated or have upgraded the radio. I plan on keeping the radio. How could I rearrange it so it will all work?

That must mean you relocated or have upgraded the radio. I plan on keeping the radio. How could I rearrange it so it will all work? the rx snaps off the battery box, just get some sticky velcro ( used clear nail polish to glue the velcro on) and stick the RX to one side of the wall, above the servos, but a little forward. now you can cut a hole in the battery box for lipos. but don't rush it! make sure the lipo is secured good, use your common sense! my lipo ripped out of my plane the first time I did an inside loop on lipos, plane nosed dived a hundred feet, but it was fine, just needed some epoxy on some rips (thanks to my landing gear area reinforcements), i almost lost the lipo, the Gs from the loop sent it 200 feet away from the crash, it was fine though (mystery brand)
