I would say go with a Eflite 450 outrunner motor/25A esc. The best IMO and couple that with a 10x7 APC prop and your set.

See....it's even in the front I see that you have what appears to be a Typhoon. Do you like it? I'm about to get on (on order) and I want to know what other people think. Thanks

I suggest you read the 2nd page of the posting right under yours: [Do brushless motors need breaking in?] The Typhoon is a fine motor but is a high KV, needs MUCH lower gearing and/or a smaller prop than the stock 480 or you WILL burn it up. You cannot just plug it in and fly away merrily.
Yes, this whole brushless/lipo/ESC etc. biz is way more confusing than it first appears. Study up until you are pretty sure of your decision. You'll be glad you did. There are no real shortcuts.

It's "a" choice and it'll work. The plastic motor mount is not suitable (it's a stripped gearbox) and the ESC has poor lipo cut-off and kind of coarse throttle control (compared to stock it is excellent). The motor is pretty good but has a long, soft, weak shaft and they often have poor quality bearings (I've had to replace 2 in a couple months of flying). Cheap and easy to fix those problems. So, if you are still crashing, breaking props and the like you'll trash this motor. OTOH, you could trash a $75 e-flite that is often recommended. Net = cheap end of a serviceable package. I use a similar setup on a Slow Stick and have done so since summer. fly
