Hello Ed ,not found your quad vids yet, what have you got them listed under. At the moment we are catching the tail end of a storm that caught Ireland and the west country ,Devon and cornwall so its very windy ,can't see any flying this weekend .chris

Well what can i say ,you seem to have become an "Fpv drone pro" ,i was flying my st acrobat the other day minding my own ,when a piggin drone appeared right on my tail, whatever i did the drone was with me.It probably made good footage for the drone bandit, but it ruined a good flying session, needles no say that the acrobat has a 5min run time ,and with trying to escape i ran the batty down ,and had to dead stick taking the motor clean off  , and then it flew over to inspect the damage  . So on another note i have some vid of my Tigermoth ,just throwing her about with a nice landing. You truly are getting useful with the fpv ,have fun my friend .chris |

Hello Ed ,technical question something seems to have happened to the vids on you tube ,when i try to comment at the end of a vid ,they keep coming up as restricted ,even on channels i am subscribed to ,like the petronovic brothers ,any ideas?

Hello Ed ,got a technical question ,i am using microsoft movie maker and cannot work out how to trim the content of my videos.I can set the start time and finish ,and add music ,but i cant get my head round the trimming ,to get rid of 70% of the vid with nothing in.The reason behind this is that i have a cracking take off and a greaser of a landing ,with about 5mins in between just looking at a cloud with the plane noise somewhere in the background, the plane is the hurricane. hope you are well .chris

Not sure what you mean by trimming.....BUT the issue with movie maker is
when you right click the mouse it gives you Set START POINT and Set END POINT
to cut out parts you hit start point where you want the video to start
THEN
You have to go up to Add Photo / Videos and then upload the video again
go from that point where you want a certain part of the vid and hit set Start Point again
and let it play so long and hit set End Point again
it is time consuming....but allows you to edit parts of the video you want and get rid of what
you do not want
BUT
It allows you to create the video you want with just the scenes you want..everything else is gone
so on the take off at the beginning... right click the mouse hit set start...Let it play until wherever -then right click and set End Point
then below that hit ADD Photo/Video Top of Page- when it comes up put same Video back up
GO to where just before you land hit Set Start point again....let it play through to after you land and then hit Set End Point
then all you will have is the take off and then the landing and nothing else
Hope that makes better sense.....lol
not sure how else to explain it

It would be easier to get the cam in the right position ,and fly the plane lower to stay in shot, see i know what to do ,i just cant ruddy do it  ,on the last vid i posted ,i had to apply quite a bit of down elevator to stop the plane ballooning up. This is with five two pence coins as weights at the front ,so she still needs more at the nose.The problem is on landing ,if you land with a dying batty ,all the weight at the front means it will land on that d**n 3 blade, i have to really be on the 5min timer and land with a good reserve of power .Not one for a dead stick landing ,got one 3blade left ,and its on the 190! |

have to keep the power on , so the landing is not nose down
I have a few that do that....I often forget and cut power and then i stall them...lol
I know how it goes, never can get the camera lined up...takes many tries...I try and set it to a
certain height and try and keep the plane flying at that altitude to get it in the shot
sometimes it works, sometimes it does not...Lol

Hello there Ed ,have you been flying at all .I keep meaning to put up a vid i took a couple of weeks ago ,which actually shows the hurricane with a greaser of a landing, no need to cut it . but i am getting home from work so late in the dark,that i just have no time to do anything . But one plane i have on my radar is the staufenbiel red bull blanik glider ,very aerobatic 2s with a nice whistle of tortured air as it zooms by motor off . youtu.be/9XD0994TBQ0 |

No have not flown since back on the 6th when i made those last videos
we have had snow, rain and cold to beautiful days and windy everyone....lol
have not flown anything
I saw that glider...looks good , I am no glider guy, never cared for them, but it looks cool
as the wind has been so bad should invest in a few kites maybe and some extra long string
seems the only thing that would fly in all this wind...lol
well here time changes and it will get darker faster than it already is....wish they would leave
the clocks alone.....daylights savings has never saved me anything....lol

Hope all is well....have not been flying
weather has been crazy ( mostly high winds )
you know I have those two little quads I have been flying
they have now updated them and the size I have , now runs on 3's batteries
and worse they are doing away with these older ones...
never fails, every time I get something and start enjoying it, they get discountinued...lol
and money is tight so I can not at the moment get extra just in case....
story of my RC Hobby...by the time I get something it is done away with
O well Just wanted to say Hey and check in....

Hello Ed , i think we are getting the winds over here now as well .I know what you mean about the dis-continuing of things, Efight seem to be bad for that,but companies like ST models and Dynam seem to make stuff forever. The quads must really shift with 3s battys .I feel like a mole at the moment ,get up at 04.40 am go to work in the dark ,finish work in the dark and get home anywhere from 18.30 and 19.00, i suppose it would wind me up more if it was the summer months. Funny enough after 14 months off sick ,i am looking forward to the xmas break. I am down to one batty a 4s 2200 , i only have five planes that run off it ,oh well perhaps one of my two offspring will take pity on old dad and buy him a batty for his toy planes  |

time to start making those Hints , to get those batteries....lol yeah the dreaded daylight savings time change has happened gets dark on it's own fast enough...now this changing and setting clocks back makes it appear darker faster these winds seem to never cease, plus it is getting so much colder still have had no flights I was trying to get my two smaller UMX Sports Cubs out and ready to fly the prices on those little all in one FPV cameras dropped big time so i bought it to place on these little UMX Cubs Have not flown them in a few years...they seem to be working well was going to try a little FPV with them...BUT as always the weather has not even allowed me to try them yet. at this rate appears it may be spring when that happens....lol yeah working is great for funds..But not so much for FUN....  |

Hello Ed , i have had a bit of luck with my fpv quad ,the t111 i have a charger on the way ,with two new battys supposed to be for a syma ,the same connection and batty size for £10 i cant really go wrong.So perhaps i will be in the fpv game with you. The only thing i have been flying is the sonic 185,i am just putting lights on it ,from a donor flybeam ,so it will fly at night without worrying about the landing ,just slide it in on the grass ,i wont put all the lights on it as they weigh a bitand i dont want to change the cog , anyway if it works it will be filmed as usual. chris
