Hey Chris ,
well flew my quad around the yard this evening
when one does not get to fly often, it sure does show
I could not stay off the ground...or out of the tree's in my yard
every turn I bumped the ground and bounced me around it was horrible..
But it was fun, and that's all that mattered
hope you got some air time in as well
Ed.

Hello Ed ,i ve been flying quite a bit although not filming so much . i had a proper sketchy flight yesterday with the fw 190. i still haven't got the right prop on it yet ,running a 12-6 dynam . It took off alright ,bit twitchy on elevator and not really making the height ,so of course i decided to give it an aileron roll ,"dont try this at home" .It lost so much height that as it rolled i could swear it was cutting the grass with the port wing ,i just managed to get her level and upright and then clattered her in to a landing . Now for the fun part ,i have the"Hurricane" ready for the flightline shenanigans, this will definitely get immortalized on film ,splattered all over the field or what,Tally Ho . chris

Wahay i have some three blade props winging their way through the post ,the fw 190 and repaired hurricane shall be on the flightline again.I haven't been on the flightline of late, i have been struggling to get my 86yr old mother into a care home. i got her into one on respite , and they chucked her out .She is now in a nursing home right by its own lake ,with Canada geese , swans ,ducks ,herons all taking off and landing in front of a viewing balcony, my mother loves it for the birds alone ,know she is settled the stress might calm down a bit, and perhaps i can get back to flying. Oh and i have managed to get back to work again ,just 8am -1pm taking things slow at first like i should have done the first time .how are you doing ,has it cooled down any ,it has over here but of course its windy. all the best chris

past couple days cooled down some less humid
but as always windy....that hardly ever ends round here
O I hate hearing about your Mum being in a care home but good to know she seems to like it
sure that is very stressful
good to hear your back to work some sometimes helps just to get back to normal
just been trying to get some work done around the house time is going by so fast it will be winter before we know it

We are starting to lose the light evenings again now ,that's the part i miss the most being able to fly at sunset ,getting back home at ten pm . The three blades have arrived, already fitted i must say they look gigantic ,no wonder they give so much lift ."As soon as the wind dies down and it stops precipitating" the warbirds will be up there ,although i only have one 4s to power them with, unless they will pull a 3s of course ,just have to wait and see .the situation with my mother was that living on her own 20 odd miles away ,she is very frail and kept having falls and ending up in hospital , i was getting phone calls in the early hours of the morning.now she is safe and looked after ,and she is within walking distance ,and because she is settling in and making friends ,the stress is just falling away from myself .growing old aint fun.anyway all the best chris

I could imagine how hard it had to be hearing her being hurt so often she is still around that is great, Lost both my parents many years ago glade it takes the pressure off you , and less stress, that's great stress will do all sorts of things to ya...her being took care of I know has to be a relief . yeah age can zap you for sure ,and add stress and illnesses, and it is horrible why being able to fly still is such a joy got into these little quads so i can stay in my own yard even with the field so close, It still can be a pain loading planes and unloading and the winds are so strong in that field makes flying stressful at times and most times I do not even try and fly ( like today, hot and humid and windy ) at least the tree's block a lot of wind in my yard allows me to fly some here ( well when it is not so hot ) ..lol I know always have something to complain about, but hey , if it was not for that I would not have much to say....

"THE HURRICANE HAS FLOWN", i cant land it to save my life ,she keeps nosing over on landing so i need to work on that.I have bent the u/c legs forward and banked up the rear of the mountings ,i will have to see if that helps. Also with all that thrust i will have to relearn the power setting on landing, not a cut and glide machine. i did hopefully get the "Hurri" on film ,just haven't had a chance to replay it yet , of course next comes the fw190 with some real fire in its belly wahay

well....I decided to sleep in Sunday morning , slept till noon ,as they were calling for all day rain it was cloudy and calm when I got up...grass needed mowed at the unique with all the rain and humidity decided to mow it and do some trimming around the carpet runway....sun began to shine and clouds came and went turned to be a nice day..SO I thought great, I will charge batts and go fly , it was late evening by then charged my batts and just as the last one was done RAIN...yelp started pouring Rain...everything wet and soaked I could scream... and after put everything away later Sun came back out and then the winds began to blow made me feel sick But that has how this year has went maddening to say the least they are still calling for rain the next couple days BUT I am keeping my batteries charged and will see if it dries up and is not raining or the winds are calm I'm gonna load up and go fly.....

Frustration comes in many forms it seems, just got home from work ,only doing 8am -1pm to get back in the swing of things.Anyway got home had something to eat ,jumped in the shower come out and its chucking it down . A funny thing happened when i attempted to load the "Hurricane vid", the landing was proper scrappy including an offensive out pouring ,well i thought i would cover it up with music ,it was then that i realised that the dubbing is out on my cam,you take off and a few seconds later the sound kicks in,so at the end of the vid you hear me cussing before the plane lands

Well i have just come back from the field with the hurricane, she took off had a good flight loops and rolls and whatever ,and when it came to the landing it was the same as yesterday. i had another flyer wandered over just as i was taking off ,adding a bit of stress on landing," i used to be able to fly honest"

Hello Ed , the "Hurricane" took off good and fast still only on half throttle. of course the call to" scramble Angels one five twenty bandits over Dover",is a theme that runs through my head whenever i look at my beaten up version of a "hurri". i shall hopefully get a better vid of it ,where it isn`t coming in on the nose. But i do like my warbirds ,mmmm just thinking i wouldn`t mind a dynam p47 or an me109,or of course a "Spitfire",but then we have had a little rain and the grass is on the move again ,not retract friendly ,not the way i land recently anyway

I look at so many RC Hobby sites and I see so many aircraft I would like to have then I look at my ceiling and see all I do have and realize most are just collecting dust I hardly get to fly anymore ......I have to restrain myself from looking.... I like watching videos tho, at least others are getting to fly today it is clouds and sun, rained yesterday, and the winds are howling 15 mph at the moment and so humid . and is suppose to rain this evening and from the radar it sure appears that way last year was illness, this year weather issues.... of course you know why I got those little quads I can fly some in the house, ( it's just not the same )... but at some point this stuff has to end I Hope and I may get some flying in Keep her in the air Chris...that was a great video....
