Its a funny thing ,the flyer i was helping went back to the field ,to look for a battery hatch and noticed the front end of a hurricane in the weeds so he thoughtfully kept it to one side,i went to search in the evening ,and he came by the field on the off chance that i might be there ,the 13/4 prop has finally come to its end, it was smacked in twice with the beaver ,had a few flights on the glider ,and know the hurricane crash ",i should think it died of nervous exhaustion". is it possible for gremlins to inhabit trees,i know its silly to target one tree ,i mean there are loads of them around the field ,over the years and i have been in them all chris

a few years back I would have swore the trees moved and actually reached out and grabbed my planes
it sure appeared that way many times....lol
good to know you got some parts back
still no fly here....I could possibly chance it I have before...but I hate that tense stressful feeling when i do
SO....I just set and wait

Hello Ed ,if anything i would try the yak ,at least it will look after you in a smaller space ,but you know that anyway , it has to be the least stressful little plane on the planet. i went out on a "Batty Hunt" ,earlier i was thrashing about in the tundra ,by "THE TREE" , when a dog walker said are you looking for snakes, the idea had`nt entered my head until she mentioned it ,but i found my 4s ,the hurricane when repaired will smite the air again, hopefully for a bit longer. chris

Good to hear you got the batt back I have walked through the tall grass and never thought about snakes and things much in the early spring I found a Huge Hornets nest near one of my paths never thought about bee's being in that grass either you mentioned snakes I saw the first one the other day it was shiny black, but only saw a part of it as it was moving fast across the path from tall grass to tall grass as I was mowing Guess i need to start being more attentive to , if I have to venture into that tall grass..... well have watched the winds blow all day again it is now almost 8:00 PM and they have died down But no batteries charged and will be dark in about 30 minutes or more So today it has gotten humid again just lounged around in the house sometimes it can be depressing...lol

Over here we still have the long evenings at the moment, light until 10pm i have been taking advantage of that , i had a brilliant sunset flight with the glider the other night ,but of course i didn't have my cam with me . as far as the "creepy crawlies " go i always think they are more wary of us ,its only when we go into their area by mistake , mostly in the heat they will be sleeping ,apart from funnel web spiders of course they are pure evil, in Australia they used to hide under the toilet seats ,them and the trap door spiders" but if we worried about everything that can kill you stone dead just by looking at you, well we would never leave the house"

we have a lot of spiders, but I do not pay much attention to them well unless they are in the house....lol
my outbuildings are full of them, my hedges and that tall grass
have had many crawling all over me...and bee's are not to bad just would not wish to hit their nest they might get upset...lol
But now snakes, that is something I do not want around at all never could stand any snake...even tho they do keep down the rodents
but still...lol
yeah it gets dark here around 8:30 or 8:40 I think it is
I normally always flew in the late afternoons because of the field layout having to have the sun at my back . And I like flying the flybeam right at dark
but yesterday was the first day the winds eased up
they are not blowing extreme, around 5 mph but the direction is the issue as you know from the East
but today they are harder and from the North wind speed 13 mph and gusts to 22 mph...so who knows how long that will last
I am just going to have to get up early and perhaps try and stand at the far end of the field to get some flying in when the winds are not so high
if nothing else I could fly my quad before it gets to windy and it would not matter where the Sun is...lol
they called for rain, but we have had none and it is really humid the dew point is 67, makes it very muggy....thats almost as bad as the winds
boy turning out to be a complaining "Bloke" is that the British term ?.....LOL

I am so glad to see you back in the air again ,i watched the vids ,pretty high up at times over the trees, but what a view ,your area seems a lot greener than the UK at the moment .it was funny the grass down the playing field this morning ,is just mostly brown stubble, and the council where cutting the grass ,if someone dropped a match the whole field would go up. i suppose they are contracted to cut in certain areas on certain days come what may, next week they will be cutting the dust . i am going to have to up my game on the vid front ,you seem to have them looking professional" well done ", its good to have you back in the game.chris

We have had some rain, even with the heat and humidity
grass is brown somewhat but the trees are green for sure
I flew over my law officer neighbors where a tree limb broke and went through his building and hitting mine a little.....if you look close at the hole in the world video when I turn and go left to right across it, you can see the big Hole down the middle of his building...lol
later that same day the top feel out of that tree and almost hit his house he had it and another tree cut down, you can see them laying behind his house
he is across that little gravel road from the field, the one beside him is the one with a large open back yard and old pool an Egyptian family...I actually live behind both of them .
I fly over them on occasion ...They are cool with it all Law here says as long as I get their permission it is fine .
I had a blast that day
flew the plane several times and the quad as well
I use that little key cam with a D lens on it. I have three of them they are so clear and they are light can be mounted on even smaller planes
only issue I have had is for some reason the date and time will change and it will not let me reset them to the correct date and time it's odd, as it takes a lot to do that...so have no clue how or why it changes on it's own...lol

Yesterday was quad day
all I did was fly three quads
the ET 115 and the Beta 85 and Beat 65s
was pretty fun
flew ET and 65s at the unique...65s got blown to the ground a lot...lol
then came home and flew the 85 and 65s in my yard just before dark winds had calmed down
today tho is a different story
extremely windy and even rained some
hope you got some flying in
