What is it with the yaks and the gremlins, you didn't feed it after dark did you,perhaps it was after one last flight, i bet it looked majestic as it glided down from the ceiling  |

or hanging on the ceiling for long either...lol
still no flying here...charged batts waited and waited
and instead of winds dying as it appeared they got worse
no flying anywhere and now this Saturday morning, winds are still blowing
can't believe this stuff. Such a beautiful day and yet winds ruin it
But could be worse I guess, the wind feels good as the Temps and humidity is rising
Still....would love to get some flying in at some point....frustrating to say the least

its just raining over here, but i dont like the sound of the humidity ,that"s the one thing that really puts me on the floor, but i have been very lucky with the flying sessions this week, i will have something to look back on next week . chris

yeah humidity is horrible for me to
can't function in it very well
suppose to have a chance of rain everyday next week
but who knows, just wish the winds would stop some
even if i could just fly the quads outside that would be nice

Well this is embarrassing, i had a good time with the yak54 this morning so full of enthusiasm i thought id take the beaver out for a sunset flight. i had the battery fitted ,transmitter on camera in position and turned on ,game on. the beaver took off nice and scale with half flap ,nice and stable very slow ailerons ,might need to up the travel a bit . anyway i was just settling into the flight, thought i would bring it down lower for the camera , i am still working out what i did but as i got lower and was turning her with a mix of rudder and aileron , i rammed a tree trunk , i mean i heard a bong as it hit. fearing the worst as i walked over i found the plane looking a bit sorry for itself ,but basically still repairable ,one u/c leg off and damage to the front not too bad considering. but i couldn't see the prop until i looked at the tree trunk,the prop adapter was stuck in the tree trunk the prop was intact, one tough 13/4 ,pilot error i am afraid , and the next bit was at home when i went to download the vid, i had turned the camera off ,so nothing  |

gee that would have been cool to see
nothing here, winds did ease up late, but just to worn out to
gather stuff up and go
could have maybe got a flight in before dark
but been so long since i have flown, i do not want to chance it

flew quads the other evening after winds died down some and can see real clear even after it
starts getting dark , which was a pleasant surprise .Did not realize how clear and bright
those tiny cams are .
Then flew again the next morning before the winds kicked up, was fun
Issue with the Unique is I can only look and fly out one direction
and that is looking into the Sun...always have to wait until late afternoon
to have the Sun behind me and then of course by that time the winds are howling
so to date I have still not flown any plane .

Hello ED , the "unique " certainly has more challenges than most , to be honest with the planes and a day with low wind and blue sky ,you will find the confidence and the thumbs will come back again. i have it the other way bags of confidence and not much skill  |

I do not know if I could fly in a wide open space
I would probably lose my plane in the open sky...lol
yeah that location is a challenge for sure
down the road is another location
tried to get permission once before and it was rough
appears a company working on a roadway went in their and cleaned it up to park equipment
last year...now it looks nice and has graveled some of the area...
It is gated off, can't drive in , but can park and walk into it , it is wide open
one day I may take a chance and see if i can fly in it at least once
looks nice now....But until this crazy weather straightens up, can't do much
today has rained enough to wet the ground, Storms around and Sun comes out
clouds up and rains a tad and Thunders and then Sun again...winds blow
and then settle...hard to plan anything in this weather .

It's a strange one for sure today started out cloudy looked like rain then suddenly Sun appears and winds kick up and it is actually cooler today , less humid turned out to be a nice day other than the wind it is maddening to say the least...lol  |
