I just use a common multimeter I keep in my radio case.
Using the smaller battery plug with 4 pins...
Pins 1+2 give cell 1 voltage, 2+3 give cell 2, 3+4 give cell cell 3.
1+4 give overall battery voltage, 1+3 give cell 1 and 2 added together...
And so on.

I have another question about batteries and charging them. Almost afraid to ask 'cos it's a battery for my graupner T28. Graupner in their wisdom has put their own JST plug type on the balance charge lead and wont fit my HZ charger. I have ordered a JST-XH plug, 2 actually, that I'd like to solder on. Thing is, I'm told that all LiPo batteries have the Black as the common earth and the others, despite different colours, are the "positives" from each cell ? Can anyone on here care to confirm this please? It'll be a waste of a perfectly good battery otherwise. Thank's
