This week end as we have here rainy weather a friend and I installed a brushless motor into the SC. Dude that's a hell of a powerful motor. I use now a 200w brushless, a 40 A ESC and a 3s 11.1 v 2200 mah battery. I could only have taxiing tests and not yet maiden flight with the brushless. I send here some pics so everybody may see how we manages the mod. Ask me any questions you feel. fr.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/nicolazoj/detail?.dir=/b974re2&.dnm=3db3re2.jpg&.src=phCheers Raspa

Did you measure your thrust angle? If so what is it? It seems a little heavy to the right but that may just be the pic. Let us know how it goes. Kevin

Hello Mr Mugen, No I didn't mesure precisely the thrust angle. That's also why I mounted the motor with screws and nylstop bolts so I may set up the angle.

Mr Mugen, I had maiden flight with brushless tonight ;D YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! It flies so well.... much much more powerful... thrust angle is perfect... my MC 12 tx is so much precise compare to the stock one... I may land wherever I want to.....aerobatics is easier..... YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE what a change ! I'm like a kid with new toy... can't wait to finish my Storch and fly it now!!!
Everybody should definitely go brushless

Raspa, can you tell me where you got these mods and what other special modifications I will need to install them?

Someone should create a step by step instruction thread for a brushless motor install.

I guess that would be hard because they would all be different depending on which motor you got? Mounting would be different anyways...
