mrmugen: Where did you get the 1/4" aluminum posts? Are you happy with their strength?
oldcaver: I see you've used the E-Flite firewall/stick mount and then the outrunner/stick adapter. Do you like that setup? Does it seem weird to adapt your firewall to a stick mount and then adapt it back to a cross mount?

You can get them at either the hardware store or my lhs had the ones I used. I like them a lot. It was soooo easy to make and it works very well. Cheap too!

Hey sassy: I use this set-up for multiple motor brands. The stick is perfect for a HiMax2808/12and I'm comfortable with the strength of the E-flite glass-filled stick.Anyway, it's so easy to set up the correct thrust vectors, and weird works for me!

Any ideas on where to get a 450 cheaper than the run of the mill hobby store? I recently added paint and ailerons to the cub and the weight is beginning to take a toll. From the way it sounds, the outrunner is the motor to go with at this point.

Try ebay. I found that most everywhere you look for these they are around the same price. Owning 2 of them I can say that they are worth every penny too. I have never used the himax but by the sounds of it I should get one to test next to the 450. They seem a little cheaper too.
