here is a list of what I own
I will start with a Balsa wood J 3 Cub it is very old and I took it apart to recover it and fix some damage done many years ago It is now setting waiting those repairs.
SO here is that list
1. Balsa J 3 Cub ( 60" inch span) 2. Super Cub ( of course ) 3. Decathlon 4. Cessna ( small ) 5. J 3 Cub ( small ) 6. Yak 12 7. F4U Corsair ( 800 mm ) 8. T-28 ( 800 mm ) 9. A-1 Skyraider ( 800 mm ) 10. SBD-5 Dauntless 11. F4U Corsair ( Large - unassembled ) 12. T-28 ( Large ) 13. Syma 30 inch Heli 14. Champs ( 2 of them ) 15. T-28 Micro 16. Japanese Zero ( Balsa-Tissue rubberband power ) 17. Boxes and boxes of balsa kits such as F6F Hellcat, B-17 ,Aeronca 67" inch span , Great lakes Special Balsa Bi-Plane , Messerschmitt 109 ( partially built ) and a few more I can't remember.
Plus a few RC vehicles.
Just thought I would show that list.
Mix bag of planes...not to mention the many that got thrown away due to damage
and if I counted the hundreds of plastic models......there would have to be a whole New thread devoted just to that alone.
Happy Flying and BUILDING....which is 50% of the fun .

Hghost,
Nice list of aircraft. Mine is quite extensive as well. Mostly choppers but I'll list them for anyone who might be interested in extending their hangar.
6 SYMA 107g's Syma S033g Syma S032g 6 wl v911's 2 wl v912's 1 wl v913 2 f45's 3 f46's 2 f47's Double horse 9116 Walkera genius cp Walkera v200d02 Solo Pro 228p E-flite nano cpx E-flite nano qx
Now the planes.. Nine eagles sky 500 mini surfer Nine eagles mini Cessna HobbyZone super cub (of course) Parkzone t28 Trojan Parkzone albatros DVa
And renard80... my girlfriend has as many purses and shoes to match my hangar to keep the peace. that's what's the most expensive part of the hobby for me.

Robert I was going to get into Heli's at first, but trying a few little inside jobs and then buying this larger Syma. after flying it a bit and doing some Mods to try and make it fly in the wind, the battery life while flying seems to be lacking. I can get sometimes 4 minutes of flight and usually watch it get carried away on a breeze and rarely get it to fly through the wind, even with a tail rotor Mod, larger blade and then a double one etc...still short battery life.
I decided not to put anymore money into that Hobby.the much better ones are pretty expensive and still not as responsive in the wind, and short battery life, runs out to fast, so i decided to stick with the planes .
Like to post pics but they all seem to large...can't get them reduced, but maybe at some point i can post the Pics of some of these planes in my hanger.
I thought about the WW 1 planes, always wanted a Tri-plane, flown them on the Sim and wanted one many years ago while younger...had a control line one once, but would never fly...as a kid it was disappointing, so shied away from control line planes ever since..had many rubber band powered ones tho....guess my desires changed over time....thought about it still, but with the negative talk about some of them, I shied away from them to.....did not want to buy and watch it crash.....so for now i will hold off and wait...and be content for awhile with what i have...money is getting tight...and time to be content....and use what i have, which as you see is more than enough.
If I can just get my daughter involved with flight it would be better...she likes the cars...she uses them often...planes she just likes watching so far.
Have a great day

Hghost,
Sounds like you have the Syma s033g coaxial 27mhz version with lithium ion battery packs. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I've got many single rotor birds and many copies of each just in different colors or with brushless motors. Some are fixed pitch 4ch and some are collective pitch 6ch.
If you'd like I'd hook you up with a mid sized outdoor 4ch that has decent 10 min flight time and handles well in the wind.
The model I'm thinking of is the mjx f46. An indoor bird could you the famous wl v911.
If you're interested I'd set you up with the bird and transmitter for a 20 or a battery or something I might need that you don't anymore...

No, its a Syma S33 2.4 Ghz with Lipo's and only 3 channel....I have two small indoor Heli's a Blade RedBull and a Blade Scout they do well, they last as long or longer than the larger Heli. Of course also this larger Heli has allot of lights on it , draws battery life as well i am sure.I do not know if I could fly a 4 channel ? here is the Heli I have www.nitroplanes.com/56h-s33-green.htmlIt flies great, just if it's breezy it goes up and whichever way the breeze goes. I just lost interest in the Heli's, and why i build so many planes...something i have done for years, flight is another story that i am still learning. But maybe we can do something at some point .

Hghost, If you're interested I'd set you up with the bird and transmitter for a 20 Heli pimping! whatever next!

Cool deal.
I found helis are easier than these planes, that's why I switched, but i still enjoy flight with the whirlygigs in the yard or in my classroom.

Jealous... not only of your hangar, but of your ability to reach the ceiling.

You can fly that last heli but have trouble with warbirds? Seriously?

Jealous... not only of your hangar, but of your ability to reach the ceiling. Go Go Gadget could make that possible for your chair...wondered about a chair that could stand one up almost to a full position and lift up to reach higher if necessary. Sure it would be costly, but one with engineering ability could probably do it with little material expense perhaps ? Also i believe in a God who is able to mend everything.....and ...everyone. Don't know how you believe if at all....but ..anything is possible.

You can fly that last heli but have trouble with warbirds? Seriously? FLY , that Heli almost flies itself....it will raise up and hover with simple input on one stick....it takes no effort...it's when you try and get it to fly in the wind it becomes a hand full.... It is simple compared to a War Bird, plus the War Bird flies allot faster as this Heli is very slow and docile compared to those war birds even the small ones....and it does not invert when you try and make a turn, the Heli, spins around on a dime.Backs up and goes forward with ease if there is no wind. This one is designed and has a built in gyro prevents the rotation of the Heli's Chassis. It will Hover without touching the controller. The coaxial rotor makes it stable . Anyone can fly this Heli....only issue I have is even with added tail blade and lift it still will not fly through the wind...I watched others do mods on you tube and show theirs flying around in the wind....I have yet to get this to do that. It has to be dead calm or very slight anything over 1 or 2 MPH it simply will not move through it...the breeze carries it which ever way it's blowing. That makes it frustrating to me. My banged up Champ flies through higher winds than this Heli.

Get a gyro. They have them for planes.
FWIW, no flat wing+aileron plane flies quite like a 3-ch plane with dihedral. Those are kind of 'self-righting'. Once you flatten the wing they do what you input (no self correction), and continue doing it until you make a correction or alteration. If you tell a warbird to 'turn', they don't. They just roll until you tell them to stop. Adding rudder won't help. You have to add elevator. It's sometimes called 'bank and yank'. If you do this on a warbird, it tends to be faster and more abrupt than a simple high wing plane. That's how they are designed. It's not a flaw, it's a 'feature'. Limiting travel can help, adding EXPO can help a LOT!. Do it.
Sometimes you need to take an honest look at your skill set and determine if your ambition exceeds your ability. I'm not a great flier. I'm more a middle of the pack kind of guy. I'm pretty good with information though. If I spent 1/4 the time practicing flying I do on RC groups I'd be a WHOLE lot better.
