Quick update on this very long ongoing project....Both planes maidened today ( I'm on holiday...ill for the 1st 4 days ..gales and rain weds and blustery today....however, despite the crappy weather, I got fed up with waiting..). Both planes fly!! The mustang seemed underpowered, but still flew in 10-15 mph winds (2200 3s lipo 10x8 SC prop), whilst the Spitty was quite sprited (2200 3s lipo, 9x6 SC prop) In case you're wondering, the props are the only PZ props I own, and I will try the P-51 with the 9X6 next time. The CG directions given by PZ in the manuals is totally wrong, so a big thank you to the people at wattflyer.com for the help. The Exceed RC S2-A pitts is now up and running, only problem is I have no Idea where the CG is. Looked all over the interweb, and no mention anywhere, so I'll have to guess..... if memory serves, the CG on bipes is found using the top wing. On the 1/3rd from the LE premise, with a 1500mah 3s, my CG should be spot on. Hoping this one is not as twitchy as the ultrafly outrage ( which even with D/R + Expo and nose heavy, moved like a breakdancing bullet!)

Very impressive and I admire your tenacity which obviously paid off.

cheers, sailor!! The pitts was maidened yesterday. brilliant! very agile. bit slower than I expected, but not too bad. unfortunately, the 3rd landing caused the LG to be knocked off ( now repaired). Hope the weathers OK this week, as I'm working near a huge playing field!

Sounds pretty successful then :-) Too windy here yesterday but I went for indoor flying in the evening (I got a micro Tiger Moth) 70 mile round trip and when I got there rudder and elevator ok but bloody prop was dead. :-( It was alright last time I flew it! Had a chat and came home so not a good time as you had.
