I always take a perverse comfort in seeing flyers infinitely better than me coming to grief. It can happen to the best!

I wonder if someone bought a model they were not the least interested in? I suspect they were not supposed to be there.
Great videographer to catch that. The slow motion crash was mesmerizing.

It's not even my aircraft and I feel like crying for the chap's loss. What a superb aircraft, a good deal of time to build but lost in a split second. I wonder what happened to the helicopter pilot afterwards?
I was always under the impression that aircraft and helicopters are never flown at the same time at a club meeting, which that certainly seemed to be.
As has been said, great camera work but dreadful to watch the end of such a beautiful aeroplane.

Oh my word. Poor bloke.
Looks like the heli was "stunting" in 3D right on the flightline.
Stuff like this is the reason I do not ever want to join a club. Too many planes in one location.

I am responsible for my plane, no one else is....that is why I don't feel "ready" or "willing" to risk anything I own with people around me I don't know. Especially if I got to pay a fee to use the airspace. |
