Hi to everybody. Just bought my SC. She is a beauty but... the transmitter that is packed inside the box is "different" from the one shown in the package.
To be specific: it has left stick for elevator, right stick for rudder, power slider in the back side, 2 buttons on top and the on/off button.
Do you think I should complain to where I bought it, or HZ just changed the transmitter (without updating their site?)
Thanks in advance Jim

Wow! Does it work with the plane? Maybe you got a better transmitter.

I didn't try it, because, in case it is not the correct one, i am going to return it I, also, don't think it's better. I believe that the 4ch RCs use the right stick for elevator-ailerons, and the left for power-rudder. So if i get used to the one I got, it will be more difficult to advance later.

You sure about the controls? If you have 2 sticks the right should be up/down-elevator : right/left-rudder. Left stick should be throttle (usually the slider).
On some planes (aileron) the right/left movement on the left stick (throttle) may be rudder.
A single button on top will be the X-port.

I' m sure: left stick for elevator (up-down only), right stick for rudder (left-right only), power slider (diagonal) in the back side
On top, there is a button(Xport), and a switch (ACT)

Nope doesn't look anything like mine. It should have a channel number on the back somewhere. Does that match with the one on the airplane?

yeah, it's channel3 (both the aircraft and the transmitter - same frequency)

hey dimitrisddd,
dont worry mate i got the same transmitter, and it works fine. the same as you, at first i thought a mistake had been made at the factory. its cool though i think its great and works a treat. the left stick is for elevator control, and the right stick is for the rudder. there is a slide control on the rear ( left hand side, you use your 1st finger ) for the throttle.

Nope-personally I wouldn't accept it. If you learn control on that one you'll be screwed up when/if you move to a "conventional" setup. Elevator should NOT be on the left. I know the HZ stuff is kind of cheap, but that one looks even cheaper, like for one of the >$100 2-Channel "Pod" fliers they make. Yep-checked at Hobby Zone: tinyurl.com/27qbbbFirebird Commander looks just like it. Not sure how that would work though since it uses a V-tail. Not good. I have an Aerobird Challenger on Ch2 and my Cub is Ch2. They DO interact with one another but I would never try to "cross" fly them. BTW - ACT sucks. Don't use it. Only effective at high altitudes. Messes up your chance of recovery when down low. flydiver

The power slider is in the back, mrmugen
Yeah flydiver , I agree with you. It will make it difficult for me to advance. But if Hobbyzone answers that it's what it sends to Europe, for example, what can I do? About the HBZ 335x transmitter: Yes, it looks the same except the two buttons (Xport - ACT) that are missing.
Thanks bar, happy to know that it works, although I think I would prefer the combined elevator/rudder stick.

I personally would ask for a different radio too. That is not even close to anything else out there. Good luck with whatever you do. Hope it goes the way you want it to. Kevin

Are you in Europe and planning to stay there?
If you are in the US, call HZ. Pretty easy to get on the phone and has a fair reputation for customer service. Just explain your situation-they should fix it. All a call will set you back is the time.
I have had 2 (yeah 2) chargers go bad on me. I called. They would exchange them if I could come up with the receipts, which I can't. Keep your receipts, at least for awhile.

Thanks Kevin.
Flydiver, I live in EU (Greece). I've sent a mail to HZ about my problem, and I'm expecting their response.
I'll keep you informed.
