I've got to admit that the design and quality of the SC continues to impress me. My latest outing I essentially did everything I could to break the model without crashing into the ground.
In my attempts I have flown it to height where I can barely see the model. From the onboard video I've got to believe I'm above 300 ft (~100M). When I reach that altitude I completely nose down and pull out of the dive about 20 feet above the ground, sure the wings are looking like they're going to fold in two, but the struts do their job and keep the separate.
To increase the G load I moved the clevis to the 2nd most inner hole on the servo horns on both the rudder and elevator. Again I set out to cause some kind of structural failure or tip stall and again the SC handles the extremely fast and tight vertical loops. I even tried an outside loop and almost completed the loop, but stalled out. I did see a brief tip stall occur, but the SC recovers quickly - I believe because of the dihedral of the main wing it minimizes the spin.
I'm sure this isn't news to anyone, but this is my first RC plane and I've hammered on this model to see what it and I are capable of handling and I'm certainly impressed.
